I am a Great Grandson of Lula Mae Rhodes (b.12/23/1883; d.12/08/1918) and Willie Jones (unknown). My grandfather was their only(??) child, Cecil James Jones (b.10/14/1903; d.10/20/1974). Does anybody know anything about this Willie (or Willis) Jones? I am stuck at this dead end. Is there any info about which of the MANY Willis or Willie Jones' that actually married Lula Mae, before she married Mr. McElroy in 1908 or so?

Joseph Simon Rhoades, my g-g-g-grandfather was born in North Carolina, where, I'm not sure. He later moved to Indiana where he married Mary Stoner. They later moved to the northwestern part of Missouri and settled there -- they had 15 children.

What I'm missing and am looking for is confirmation of who his parents are. It has been suggested that Isaac Rhoades and Mary Marginson are his parents but I cannot confirm.

Anyone have some information making this connection?

I am interested in any informaiton regarding a 'DELLA' Rhodes who married Emerson Brown Awtry in or around Griffin, Georgia. I have Emerson's family bible given to him in 1899 and it shows his marriage to Della Rhodes in 1903. She was born about 1881 August 30th. I am seeking her father and mother's lineage. Thank you.

Hope this is appropriate for this forum. After 36 years I was only recently provided with the name of my birth mother, Janet Leigh Rhoads. I am trying to find out more information on my family heritage, etc. but have hit a road block. I believe that she was born in 1954. Has anyone ran across this name before?
