WILLIAM RHODES, Grosvenor House, Headingley,
Leeds; son of the late James Rhodes ; born in Hathersage,
Derbyshire, October 14th, 1850; educated at Turton Hall,
Gildersome. Partner in the firm of Harding, Richardson,
Rhodes and Company, Ltd.; was the principal of the late firm
of James Rhodes and Son, which firm was amalgamated with
Messrs. T. R. Harding and Son, and Richardson, Child,
Christy and Company, Ltd., under the above title, 1893 ; takes
a keen interest in Church matters and is Churchwarden of All
Souls', Hook Memorial Church, Leeds ; was for some years a
member of the Leeds Philharmonic Society; Conservative in
politics, and an old member of the Leeds and County
Conservative Club.
