Looiking for info on John R. Rhodes, born in 1804 in Virginia. Married to Rebecca Shepherd(or Cornelia Rebecca Shepherd), about 1822 in Fluvanna Co. Virginia. I found that he lived in the Daviness Co.Mo. Area, in the 1840-50 with my GG -Grandfather William C. Rhodes ( born 1834 in VA.). They then moved to Doniphan Co. Kansas in the 1850-60 ,where they farmed. I just recently discovered that my GGG-Grandfather John R. Rhodes died in 1867 in Doniphan Co. Kansas. I am trying to find additional generations back from John R. Rhodes. Additional children of John R. And Rebecca are : George ( b 1827), John(1835),
Louisa ( b 1839), Alllen (b 1842) Nancy (1844), and James ( b 1847). Any help you can provide is appreciated. Thanks

I am looking for male descendants of George Alfred Rhoades born April 1881 in Fall River, Kansas then relocated to Osage Lands in Oklahoma. This George Alfred Rhoades is a son of John Earl Rhoades with an understanding the surname has been seen with different spellings in various documents over the years relative to the above individuals.

I'm looking onto the particulars of James Batson Watson. The link I have so far (besides many questionable trees from ancestry.com) is a marriage between a James B Watson and a Milly Rodes dated 5 Feb 1810 Albermarle (sic), VA from Dodd, Jordan R., et al.. /Early American Marriages: Virginia to 1850
Also, there is a note from a Will of Epaphroditus Rhodes, Albemarle County, Virginia, 1816 found in the Jones Memorial Library in Lynchburg, Virginia which lists a daughter Milly Watson and a Mary Nailor (the Watson and Nailor-Naylor families were neighbors and inter-married). The dates are about right so I'm looking deeper.
I'm wondering if there is any more info on the Milly that married James as well as any additional info of Mill dau or Epaphroditus?
Thanks

I am researching the Rhodes family who lived in Shenandoah County Virginia. Reverand John Rhodes and his wife Eva Albright and 6 of his children were massacred in an Indian raid in 1764. My relative, Elizabeth survived and ran with her baby sister Esther and escaped the Indians. I am trying to find someone who knows more about this family.

am looking for any information about my ancestor, Samuel RHOADS (or
any spelling variation), born about 1826 in Pennsylvania.
He is recorded in the 1850 US Census for Branch Township, Schuylkill
County, Pennsylvania as 23 years old, a shoemaker and living with a
lady named Lucy (presumably his wife), then aged 20 and a child named
Alfred, aged 2 (probably their child). All were listed as being born
in PA.
10 years later in the 1860 Census for Ashland, Schuylkill County,
Samuel is 34 years old and a carpenter, Lucy cannot be located and has
been replaced by Susanna, aged 31, Alfred is now Albert, age 12 years
and three additional children, Emma age 7 years, Edward age 4 years
and Isaac age 9 months have been added. I realize there are a lot of
differences between this census record and the 1850, but this is by
far the best match.
In the 1870 census the parents: Samuel, Lucy and Susanna are all
missing. The Son, Albert, is 24, an engineer and living in Ashland in
the home of an unrelated person. The daughter, Emma, now 18, is
married to Alfred WARY and living in Shenandoah, Schuylkill County
with a 4 month old child and a John RHODES, aged 5, relation not known
(perhaps a younger brother, perhaps a child born out of wedlock).
Sons Edward and Isaac are also missing. It would seem that most of
the family up and vanished about the time of the Civil War. They did
not live where any battles are known to have taken place however.

I am a descendant of Christopher Rhodes and Judith Couch. I see that you have some info on them. If you're ever interested in adding to that line I have done quite a bit of research on them and I would be happy to provide info on the other children and grandchildren for Christopher and Judith

I am curious about my family heritage from my paternal grandparents side...My grandmother was L.(Lydia) Gertrude Rhoads and grandfather was H.(Horace) W.(Weaver) Ulrich married according to Montgomery's history of Berks County on page 481. I don't know where to look from here about my grandfather, his parents died from TB (tuberculosis) and so did his sister...he was raised by aunt and uncle and cousins, which he was never allowed to be around, fear of his spreading the deadly disease.
