Funeral services for Mrs. Eva RHODES GREATHOUSE, 66 years old, who
died Saturday in the Saint Francis hospital in Columbus, Ohio, were
conducted Thursday at the Vandale Funeral Home. The Rev. W. S. OVERSTREET
officiated and burial was in the Spencer cemetery (Roane County, WV.)
The only daughter of the late John and Mary Allen RHODES, Mrs.
GREATHOUSE was born October 16, 1876, at Gay, (Jackson County). In 1917 she
married W. G. GREATHOUSE and moved to Akron, Ohio. She had been suffering

in France in 1918. Mrs. GREATHOUSE was the step-mother of Mrs. Ray ARCHER,
of Ripley. (Jackson Herald, Fri., 26 Feb 1943)
