She lived only a few minutes after she was stricken. She was assisting her daughter-in-law in the kitchen when she complained she was feeling dizzy. The daughter-in-law and other members of the family came to her assistance and carried her to the bed and she was dead within a short time, even before medical help could be called, they reported. She had been in her usual health and had not been complaining and her sudden death was a shock to the family and friends. She was one of the pioneer residents of that section of the county and was widely known. Since the death of her husband several years ago she had made her home with the son. The funeral services were held at Stone Lick Monday morning at ten o'clock and burial was in the family cemetery there. The following obituary was read at the funeral. Phoebe Ann Parsons Randolph was born Oct 21, 1854 and departed this life Oct 4, 1936, age 81-11-13. She was united in marriage to George A. Randolph on Oct 18, 1874 and to this union was born eight children: C. S. of Plum Orchard, H. T. of Plum Orchard, George Jr. of Plum Orchard, Anna Belle Jones of Fletcher, Ica Dora Garnes of St. Albans, Mary O'Dell Miller of Fletcher. She had 53 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and 3 great great -grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death 6 years and she often remarked that she was marking time until she could join him.
