Gertie Jett Rhodes Bevel, 97, of Clendenin died Feb. 22, 2007.
She is survived by one son, Coy Lee Rhodes of Prince George, Va.; five daughters, Mary Ann Lowry of Fort Worth, Texas, Betty Jean Belcher of Seminole, Okla., Alice June McCune of Big Pigeon, Janet Sue Holbert of West Lafayette, Ohio, and Barbara Kay Kessinger of Clendenin; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Waitman Edgell and Alice Mae Critchfield Jett; husbands Otto Rhodes and John Bevel; one daughter, Nella Fay Hubbard; and four brothers, Oral, Opie, Roy, and Romie T. Jett.
Service was Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Matics Funeral Home, Clendenin. Burial was at Payne Cemetery, Clio.
