The Back Rhodes of Our Genealogy

I have drawn to the conclusion my Gr-Gr-Gr-Grandfather William Rhodes' and Thomas Rhodes, his grave shown below may have been cousins. They where living in neighboring counties in the 1770, William enlisted in the Revolution in 1775 out of Alexandria, in Fairfax County, VA. Thomas Rhodes enlisted in to the War 1777 at Leesburg, Loudoun County. After the war they were living in Hampshire County Virginia. William left Hampshire County, move Mason County, KY, where he lived ten or twelve years, then to Greene County OH, and for a time Thomas also lived there. Revolutionary War Pension application of Thomas Rhodes S17045, Thomas' father was Moses Rhodes, See: Moses Rhodes, Loudoun Co., VA, 1769 Will. Here is his obituary: DIED, on Monday the 18th inst., near Bonaparte, THOMAS RHODES aged 92 years 3 months and twelve days. Mr. Rhodes was born in London [Loudoun] County, Virginia, on the 4th of July 1756. He served three years in the Revolutionary War and participated in several battles. He was buried in the honors of war, under Capt. Armstrongs and Lieu't Bringham's command. Source: Iowa Democrat, Keosauqua, IA; 27 Oct 1848.
