Murdock, born January 2, 1828, daughter of Dr. Hiram and Hannah (Sabin) Murdock of Pulaski, New York, of New England descent;

Son of Sion Rhodes of Bridgewater, New York, born at Warwick, Rhode Island, September 30, 1789, died at Cassville, New York, August 7, 1863, farmer, merchant, manufacturer, captain in War of 1812, served at Sacketts Harbor; married first, February 24, 1812, Eloisa Scott, born 1791, died July 25, 1826; married second, November 8, 1827, Mrs. Catherine (Robbins) Babcock of Bridgewater; married third, September 21, 1845, Sarah Greene Budlong of Providence, Rhode Island, who died in Jul 1876;

Son of John Rhodes of Bridgewater, New York, born at Warwick, Rhode Island, April 8, 1744 (Old Style), died there November 28, 1824, sea-captain, moved to Bridgewater 1793, served in Com. Decatur’s expedition against the Algerians; married August 20, 1763, Rosanna Budlong (daughter of Elder Daniel Budlong), born June 15 1742, died July 16, 1824;

Son of John Rhodes of Warwick, Rhode Island, born there May 5, 1716, died there between February 7 and July 18, 1774, captain, large land holder; married April 25, 1738, Sarah Greene, born September 17, 1718, died November 14, 1776, daughter of William and Sarah (Medbury) Greene;

Son of John Rhodes of Warwick, Rhode Island, born there November 20, 1691, died there 1776; married first, April 29, 1714, Catherine Holden, who died July 25, 1731, daughter of Charles and Catherine (Greene) Holden, grand-daughter of Randall Holden; married second, 1733, Mrs. Mary Whipple, widow of James Whipple;

Son of John Rhodes of Warwick, Rhode Island, born there 1658, died there August 14, 1716, attorney-general of Rhode Island in 1700, deputy in 1702; married Mercy Williams, daughter of Roger and Mary (Warnard) Williams, of Providence; married second, Waite Waterman, died after February 21, 1712, grand-daughter of Roger Williams;

Son of Zachariah Rhodes of Providence, Rhode Island, born 1603, died 1665, held various important offices in the colony; married about March 7, 1646, Joanna Arnold.
