Christoph Rhodes' last will & Testament
In the name of God, Ame. I Christopher Rhodes of the County of Jacko in the state of Virginia being of sound mind and meory butbeing weak in body and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and wishing to make a proper distribution and arrangement of such worldly good as I am possessed of do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in maner and form folling that is I say.
I will and desire that my funeral expenses shall be first paid but if my two daughters now linving with me Polly Rollins and my single daughter Sophia shall settle the expenses attending my funeral and burial then I will and bequeath to my said two daughters all my estate both real and personal of every kind and description considering as I conscientiouly do that I do not owe anything to any man on earth and therefore deem it unnescessary to make any arrangement or provision for the payment of debts. But in making the above bequest to my said two daughters I desire that the estate thus devised shall remain the property of my said two daughters and not subject to the control of or bleable: for the debts of Watson Rollins, the husband of Polly Rollins or the husband of Sophia if she should here after marry. Nor is it my desire to interfere with the dower right of my beloved wife Catharine who I will and desire shall receive her legal share of all my estate.
Lastly I nominate and appoint my friend R. R. Riley executor of this my last will and testament and hereby revoking all to give bond and security uipon gualifing as such ex
