  Thomas does not appear in his parent's household in the 1880 Census. Did he die, or was he not born yet? Maybe he was a cousin instead of a brother? There was a Thomas Rhodes (single, age 21, b. IL, --, --; farmer) living in the household of Ira & Nancy Young along with a Caroline Scott (single, age 17, b. IL, --, --; servant) & Francis Demott (single, age 10, b. IL, IL, IL; farmer) in Taylorville, Christian Co., IL [p.727C]. All three are unrelated to the Young's. That Thomas Rhodes was prob. son of W. H. & Mary Rhodes (both age 38, b. PA, PA, PA; him carpenter, her housekeeping) who also were also living in Taylorville, Christian Co., IL [p.750A - obviously an unrelated Rhodes line]
