Irene is survived by her son, Donald Barker and wife, Doryne; sisters, Mary Ellen Hedrick and husband, Bill of Bosque Farms, NM, and Lou Emma Mechler of Bogata, TX; five granddaughters, Dawn, Gillian, Deidra, Debbie, and Shawn; two grandsons, Shane and Shannon; ten great-grandchildren; and 15 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lou R. and Hiram Finley; husband, Charles C. Barker; sisters, Rosa Mae Mechler and Vera Miller; brothers, Ray, Sam, and George Finley; and son, Marvin Barker. Her family was one of the original homesteaders near Datil, NM. Irene married Charles Barker in 1935 and raised two sons, Donald and Marvin. She was an executive secretary with a large road building contractor, where she retired in 1972. Irene then became a real estate sales agent with her son Donald. Services will be held on Friday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Albuquerque Christian Children's Home, 5700 Winter Haven Rd. She was a member of the Church Of Christ, Delta Kappa Gamma & Retired Teachers Preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, sister Esther Josephine Cooper Best, brother Oliver Wendell Cooper, nephew Forrest Edward Best & stepson Jack Welch. He was employed by SW Bell for thirty-six years and retired in 1983. He was a lifetime member of Telephone Pioneers of America and member of First Christian Church in Edmond. He loved his family and spending time bowling and going to the casino. George is fishing in Heaven and will be greatly missed. Donations can be made to Breakfast on Boulevard. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis. Doyle was born on Nov. 17, 1933, in Rocky, Okla., to the late Archie and Emma (Finley) Carroll. He passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, in Pauls Valley, Okla., at the age of 75. He and Coleen (Kelly) Foster were married on June 17, 1983, in Davis. Doyle served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked most of his life as a truck driver. In 1998, Doyle retired from Dolese. During his retirement he enjoyed gardening, wood works and especially his grandchildren. Doyle was a member of Midway Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include hi wife, Coleen; three daughters, Tammy Carroll and friend, Jeannine of Dallas, Texas, Diane Hopson and husband, Rick, of Hobart, Okla., and Debbie Hoggard and husband, Craig, of Cabot, Ark.; one son, Mike Carroll of Pauls Valley; two step-sons, Chris Foster and wife, Lori, and Chad Foster and wife, Jeanna, all Davis; 13 grandchildren, Jade, Jessi, Ryan, Madelyn, Cheyenne, Seth, Jake, Colt, Camryn, Heath, Sara, Ashton and Brittni, one great-grandson, Brady, one brother, Glen Carroll, as well as several nieces and nephews. Doyle was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Terri Jean and Sherry Lynn Carroll, and one grandson, Brandon Neal. Serving as pallbearers will be Jack, Jimmy and David Cannon, Joe Crouch, Norman Shiplett and Dwayne Mohr.
