Biography Joseph Rhodes b: 1828, New Jersey, of Northville, PA
This is a remarkable biography of Joseph Rhodes, born 1828 NJ, who was living in Northville, PA in 1896. It tells of his great-great-grandfather that died in England and his son who came to America as a deserter from a British man-of-war anchored in New York Harbor; I suspect this took place during the American Revolution.

Thomas Rhodes, b: Leesburg, Loudoun County, VA, of Bonaparte, IA
I have drawn to the conclusion my Gr-Gr-Gr-Grandfather William Rhodes’ and Thomas Rhodes, his grave shown below may have been cousins. They where living in neighboring counties in the 1770, William enlisted in the Revolution in 1775 out of Alexandria, in Fairfax County, VA. Thomas Rhodes enlisted in to the War 1777 at Leesburg, Loudoun County. After the war they were living in Hampshire County Virginia. William left Hampshire County, move Mason County, KY, where he lived ten or twelve years, then to Greene County OH, and for a time Thomas also lived there.
