Cleckheaton ; born at Liversedge, January 24th, 1849 ;
educated at Grange Academy, Leominster, and Wellhouse
Moravian College, Mirfield. For thirty-nine years connected
with the Huddersfield Banking Company, Ltd., at Cleckheaton,
before and since its amalgamation with the London, City and
Midland Bank, Ltd.; member of the Bradford Historical and
Antiquarian Society, the Bronte Society, and member of
several of the Clcckheaton and district literary and social
clubs.
