    Alexander Rhodes was born in 1807.  He married Mahala Edens

in Rockbridge County Va in 1832.  Mahala was born in 1812.

married Cynthia J. ------.

    Murphy D. Rhodes, a son of Alexander and Mahala (Evans)

Rhodes, was born in Rockbridge County VA in 1835 and died in

1922.  He married mary E. Clarkson in Rockbridge County.  Mary

was born April 20, 1837.

    Marcellus Rhodes, a son of Llewellyn and Cynthia J. Rhodes,

was born in 1859.  He married Anna Isabelle Staats.  Anna, a

daughter of Anderson and Mary (Casto) Staats, was born in 1868.
