  • Notes

    • Mrs. Jonathan W. Casto, 62, the wife of Ripley-Ravenswood mail carrier died at her home at Belgrove at 11:30 o'clock last Thursday night. She had been ill for the past nine months and for two weeks her condition had been critical. Tuberculosis was the cause of her death. Mrs. Casto became ill while the family was residing in Ravenswood and some time ago she expressed a desire to be taken back to the Belgrove home to spend her last days. This was done. During the past two weeks the husband secured a substitute on the mail route and was with her. She is survived by her husband and two children by a former marriage, Mr. T. C. Rhodes of Belgrove and Mrs. Mary Anderson of Trace Fork, One sister, Mrs. Ada Nichols of Ivydale, Braxton County, also survives. The funeral services were held at the home last Saturday morning under the directions of Rev. James Anderson and burial was in the home cemetery on the farm near Belgrove.
