- Natchitoches. - Funeral services were held here at 11:30 Wednesdaymorning for George W. Rhodes, 61, who was instantly killed MOnday nearMineola, Texas, when his car was hit by a truck.
A native of Natchitoches parish, he is survived by his widow, theformer Mae Webb of Natchitoches; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Arceneauxof Eunice and Frances Rhodes, Natchitockes; three brothers, S., ofNatchitoches, James A., of New Iberia, and Dan, of Freeport, TExas;two sisters, Mrs. R.V. Muckelroy, Lockhart, Texas, and Miss ReppyRhodes of the Byrd High School faculty, Shreveport, and onegrandchild, Judith Ann Arceneaux.
The funeral was held from the chapel of Blanchard Funeral Home, theRev. Troy Wheeler officiating, with interment in Fern Park cemetery.
Mr. Rhodes was a veteran of World War I and served int eh U.S. Navyfrom 1910 to 1915.
