"I, C.F.Smith a notary public in and for the state of Washington, residing in the city of Tacoma, do hereby certify that I have before me a copy of the family record of Adam Waldie and his wife Susannah Waldie, as shown by their family bible, in which it is shown that their son, William Waldie was born November 11, 1856. I further certify that I am well and personally acquainted with the said William Waldie and have been for the past 23 years, and I know of my own personal knowledge that he is a man of integrity, uprightness and his honesty can not be questioned.
Dated at Tacoma, Washington on this 2nd day of June, 1936."
