I have been looking for any information on my gggrandmother Teresa Ann Rhodes. I have seen her name spelled Treasan and Treasa Ann and even Tusa Ann in various census records. She married Thomas Gresham in Orange Co., in 1846. Her birth date is listed as abt 1826 in the 1850 census. But I have no info on her parents or siblings. I would love to find out more about her.

Our family have a website dedicated to all the men who served in HMS Martin which was sunk 10th November 1942 with the loss of 159 of her 222 crew. My 18 year old Uncle Ordinary Seaman Thomas Cusack was one of the casualties as was Stoker 1st class JACK RHODES son of CHARLES ALFRED and LOUISA RHODES of Uxbridge, JACK was born in 1923 Reg. Dec. Uxbridge.
A casualty also was Midshipman PAUL LEVICK RHODES son of JOHN WALTER and HELENA KATE WALTON RHODES of Leeds, PAUL was born in 1924 Reg. June Dewsbury. I searching for relatives of the crew to offer them the opportunity to forward a photo and additional information as a remembrance of their loved one. 58 examples can be viewed on the Crew ID page on our site. Hoping you can help. Kind regards, Tom Meaden HMS Martin Website. |

I am seeking information surrounding the death of my paternal great grandfather, Almos Wesley Rhodes, b. 17 Aug. 1875, in KY; d. 18 Apr. 1922. He was a retail grocer in Graves County, KY. He died of a gunshot wound to the head; it was ruled a homicide at the hands of R. Bast(Bart?) Dubbis (sp.?), according to the death certificate. Is there a newspaper article or obituary in this connection?I would appreciate any more information.

Hello All, I was looking for information on Silas or Nancy Rhodes (b. 1806) of Herkimer / Warren, New York State; father Silas Rhodes originally from Boston MA. I am selling a sampler made by Miss Rhodes in 1819 on Ebay and thought some people on the Rhodes geneological website might be interested to see this fascinating and colorful historical document. Here is a link to the sale, it will at the least be intriguing to see a Rhodes document made by a "tween" from that early settling time of America!
[cgi.ebay.com] Thanks for checking it out, or passing this link on to any relatives who might enjoy seeing this! : ) Kristin |
