  During ww 11 Vern took a job with arkel and Smith Bag co. in Canajoharie, N.Y. as a photo Engraver and remained with them until his retirement, .in the mid 50's he invested in amusement rides and operated them at shermans park in Caroga Laske. in the 60's joined with Edwin and Mary lord ,and robert and June lord in pruchasing and operating park at Pine Lake. married first Julia Adamski, of Rochester n.y. married in California,this ended in divorce and Vern married second Helen Selmar. they retired to Nakomis Fla. were Vern operated a blue crab fishing boat.
