  Amherst County, VA Fiduciary Accounts, Book 2 p. 158: An inventory of t he estate of David Preston Rhodes, a minor, which came to the knowled ge of Lucy A. Mahone, his guardian: the following estate real and persona l, was possessed by my deceased husband David Benjamin Rhodes at the ti me of his death; viz: about eighteen acres of land, 2 milch cows, 1 hors e, 1 feather bedstead and clothing for same and a few articles of househo ld furniture, and one ninth part in John T.
