- !"Mrs. James Gore of Nortonville Succumbs -- Mrs. Mary Ja n e Gore, 80, wife of James Gore, died yesterday evening a t her home 5 mi. NW o f Nortonville after an extended illne ss. She was a native of Platte county, MO, a nd had live d in KS since 1909. -- Funeral services will be held at th e Sawi n & Dyer chapel at 2 PM tomorrow .... burial will b e in Oak Hill Cemetery. -- She w as born 7 Oct 1871, in Pla tte county, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Gore, an d wa s married at home in the Short Creek community 20 Dec 189 1 to James Gore , who survives with 5 children, Miss. Mar y Elizabeth, James H. Jr., and Miss Ma y Gore, all of the h ome; Fred Gore, Muscotah, and Raymond Gore, Hilton; 3 gra n dchildren, 2 great grandchildren; two half-brothers, Le e Gore, Atchison, and H arry Gore, Oklahoma City, OK. A da ughter, Pearl, preceded her in death at th e age of 11 year s in 1903. -- After moving to KS in 1909, they lived in th e Whit ing community for 20 years, spent one summer in OK a nd lived 8 years near Lancas ter before moving to the prese nt home.
