- BURIAL: Mrs. Mary Jane Roberts
BURIAL: Funeral services for Mary Jane Roberts were held at 2 p.m.,on
Sunday, Sept. 29, in the Chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis, with the
Revs. Charles Bates, Troy Wheeler, and Joe Aulds officiating.
Burial was in the Shady Grove Cemetery at Bellwood.
BURIAL: Mrs. Roberts, 97, of Bellwood, died Friday, Sept. 25, at10:20
p.m., in the Natchitoches Parish long term care unit.
BURIAL: Survivors include five sons, Curtis Roberts of Smithville,Tex.,
Chester Roberts of Pineville, Sherman Roberts of LeCompte,
Hershell Roberts of Baton Rouge, and Billy Roberts of
Natchitoches; three daughters, Jewel Evans of Baton Rouge,
Claudie Lucius of Shreveport, and Willie McGrath of Hurst, Tex.;
one brother, Oscar Sparks of Bellwood; 21 grandchildren; 22 great
grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
BURIAL: Pallbearers included Mark McGrath, Glenn Roberts, Charles
Roberts, Michael Corbin, Jimmie Corbin, and Art Young. Honorary
pallbearers were Harold Alford, W. J. Alford, Clinton Sparks, and
Thurman Roberts.
