  KINGSPORT - Billie Joe Bellamy, 76, passed away on Saturday (Nov. 22, 2003) at Wilcox Hall at Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Speers Ferry, Virginia., (Scott County), he had lived in the Kingsport area for over 60 years. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and also during the Korean conflict. He was employed as a truck driver. Mr. Bellamy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsia Tignor Bellamy; his parents, Worley D. Bellamy and Alphie Sue Gray Bellamy. Surviving are his sisters, Frances N. Peters and Brenda C. Tunnell, both of Kingsport, and Sandra Sue Scott of Rock Springs; as well as several nieces and nephews.
