  Mrs. Arena Ellen Siders Hamon, of Ripley, a life long resident of Jackson County. She was born April 3, 1866, died February 17, 1952, a daughter of the late George Henry and America (Miller) Siders. On July 10, 1884 she married Joseph Price Hamon born December 29, 1862 died November 1921 a son of Andrew H. and Perlina Rhodes Hamon. Surviving: sons; Ova Marshall of Ripley, Glenn Joseph of of Perryville, LA, and Aubrey Guy of Newtry, MI; daughters, Mrs Herbert (Lily) Skeen and Mrs. George (Hattie) Jordan, both of Ripley, Mrs Buster (Iva) Parsons of Kenna, Mary Ellen Blackshire who preceded her in death, and adopted daughter, Martha Blackshire Hamon, of Mt. Vernon, OH, brothers; George N. of Buffalo, Charles Edgar of Advent, and Joseph Siders of Charleston; sisters; Mrs Joseph Floyd (Lydia Ann) Kiser of Charleston. Burial in Hamon Cemetery, near Advent.
