- Christopher Foster was born {Ewell Parish , Surrey , England} in July 1603; married there Frances ______, born ca 1610.
Christopher Foster styled himself a farmer on his shipping, embarked in London, June 17, 1635 in the "Abigail." He was thirty-two years of age, with wife Frances, twenty-five and children Rebecca five, Nathaniel two, and John one. "June 1635. In the Abigail pr'ed Ser Certificate from the minister of their conformities and from the justices that they are no subsidy men. Christopher ffoster, ae thirty-two; ffrances ffoster, ae twenty-five; children, Rebecca ffoster, ae five; Nathaniel ffoster, ae two; Jo. ffoster, ae one."

He was made freeman at Boston [or Lynn ] April 17 1637. In the same year he was resident of Lynn where in 1638 (according to Lewis History of Lynn) sixty acres were allotted to him. At one time, the Fosters lived in Nahant St., Lynn. He may have been part of original Lynn group that settled Southhampton, LI; Christopher first appears in records of Southampton in 1651 and he was living there in 1670. His son Nathaniel removed to Huntington LI and there resided.

I. Christopher Foster (1603-87) & Frances ? (1610-) emigrated from Lond
17 Jun 1635 on the Abigail. They travelled with their three oldest
children. Christopher was recorded as a farmer. They settled at Lynn,
MA, where Christopher became a freeman in 1637. In 1638, he was granted
60 acres. At one point, the Fosters lived in Nahant St., Lynn.
Christopher may have been part of original Lynn group that settled
Southhampton, LI; Christopher first appears in records there in 1651.
Chidren: Rebecca (1630-); Nathaniel (1633-) who moved to Huntington,
Long Island; John (1634-); Benjamin; Hannah m. Daniel Sayre; Ancestor
Joseph; and Sarah (c1640-3 Oct 1692) m. Samuel Johnes.
