Michael was a survivor of an Indian Massacre in 1764. He lived with the Indians for a few years and served in the Revolutionary War when he and a brother returned home. His father, mother, and several brothers and sisters were killed. DAR Ancestor A096034

He was a private in Michael Reader’s Virginia company, Michael survived an Indian massacre in 1764 which killed his parents and most of his siblings. MIchael spent several years with the Indians before returning home. His wife Anna (Nancy) Strickler Rhodes is probably buried right beside Michael although there is no visible marker. His parents were Reverend John Roads (Rhodes) and Eva Albright. Daughter: Maria Rhodes married John Crabill and migrated to Ohio.
