Mourning the loss of my sister, the late Brenda Rhodes Peconga

My sister Brenda Peconga, died unexpectedly Friday, June 8, 2011 at Warsaw, Kosciusko County, IN at age 61. The doctor said it was due to a pain medication she had just recently been ordered increased the dosage of. She was born September 10, 1949 in Warsaw, IN.
She lived Kosciusko County, IN for about 26 years. On November 14, 1987 she was united in marriage to Rickey Peconga. Brenda was a homemaker and a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #258 Pierceton, IN. Survivors include her husband Rickey Peconga of Warsaw, IN, daughters Mishelle (spouse Ronnie) Jarrell of Columbia City, IN; Wendy Kline of Milford, IN; Mindy Howard of Kimmel, IN; son Glenn (spouse Martha) Smith of Pierceton, IN; sisters Sharon Miller of Nappanee, IN; Darlene Menzie of Pierceton, IN; Marlene Rhodes of LaPorte, IN; Frieda (spouse Neil) of Nappanee, IN; brothers Randy (spouse Telona) Rhodes of Syracuse, IN; Carl (spouse Elaine) Rhodes of Middlebury, IN; Jerry (spouse Lisa) Rhodes of Nappanee; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents and one brother.

Services will be held in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, IN on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 12:00 pm. Calling hours are scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday. Pastor William Whitaker will officiate the services. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery Pierceton, IN.

Brenda struggled much of her life to make ends meet, and she and her husband Rickey Peconga where on disability at the time of her death. They lived from hand to mouth, had no savings, no retirement fund or insurance policy. So, if you could find in your heart to contribute even a few dollars to so my sister Brenda’s memorial fund it would be greatly appreciated.
