I am looking for parents and siblings of Jacob Rhoades (Could be other spellings in early records) born August 26, 1809 in Lancaster Co. PA and died September 5, 1891 in Berrien Co. Michigan.
Help!
Hi, I was entry number 9 in your book. I've been able to trace my grand father, WJRII, back to PA, outside Philly, I think Chads Ford. WJRIII, my dad, is alive and well living in Flintstone, MD. WJRII, my estranged Grand Father, passed in 1980ish in PA. He graduated from LaSalle in 1939ish, nick named Clark. The only reference I've Been able to connect WJRI, is in my grand fathers high school year book that says he was a second generation student at LeSalle. I believe I may have aunts or uncles from my Grand Fathers second wife???? Also there is a WJR V now.

Gary Rhodes
Hello. Fantastic work on the website. Just met my cousin John Rhodes today who was showing me some of the family history research he has been undertaking. A preliminary search here seems to marry up with some of the stuff he has already dug up, especially the Roads / Roades Claydon, Bucks connection. Look forward to studying the website in more detail and I am sure John will be able to add some interesting stuff.
My Name is Rick Rhodes, and I've hit a stone wall.
My connection is as follows:
Madeline Jane Rhodes (4/18/46)
Elza Samuel Rhodes (12/29/1899)
Daniel Webster Rhodes (12/08/1874)
Samuel Rhodes (1849 - 1939)
David (1824) and Samantha Pringle (1825)
Samuel (1792 - ????) and Jane (1800 - ????)
Zecharia (1700's) Maryland
I can't find anything before Zechariah, and can't confirm anything before David and Samantha.
This is not so much trying to trace long lost relatives, but long lost friends.
I am trying to find a Helen Rhodes(as she was known in the 1980's/not sure whether she married?)who used to live in Gedling in Nottinghamshire,England. She used to have a sister called Lorraine Rhodes and her father was a Phillip Rhodes.
All i know of her is that towards the late 80's she moved away from Nottinghamshire to live in Sheffield,Yorkshire,England to study nursing.
I would love to catch up with her as i have done with many other friends from the past.
Hi I am Derek Rhodes a direct descendant of Egidius Rhodes B 1610 Wolstanton, Staffordshire, England.
I was born in Audley a small Staffordshire village not 5 miles from Wolstanton, all of my known ancestors were born in the same area.
#73 Response to Edward Rhodes/Eliz Mims from Autauga/Chilton County, AL. I am also from this family. Please contact me, I will compare and share information. I believe Edw Rhodes is the son of Jemima Wallace and Allen Rhodes, Wilkes Co., GA but the marriage license transcription says "Mima Rodes" and "Allen Rodes" Nov 30, 1810.
Rootsweb seems to have Allen Rhodes as a son of Benjamin Rhodes. There is only one son listed for Allen and Jemima: Asa Thigpen Rhodes abt 1812, but our Edward was born abt 1828. More of his siblings are shown in Autauga, I believe, but he was older and probably on his own.
Pls compare and share.

Any info about Charlotte "Lottie" Rhoads, who married Hendrick J. Smith, probably between 1780 and 1790 in vicinity of Binghamton, or Rome, or Oneida County, NY? She was probably born abt. 1760. They had 9 kids, some of whom lived as Oneida Indians, others as white persons. Was she Oneida or part Oneida? Hendrick grew up as an Oneida, though he supposedly was English, adopted by Oneidas - fought at Battle of Oriskany as an Oneida alongside colonists.
