The Rhodes family, prominent in Lincoln County since the pioneer, Frederick Rhodes, settled on Hoyle's Creek about 1750.

Frederick married.

His children were:

   2 M    i. Peter Rhodes .

Peter married Betsy Pack on 27 Dec 1785.

   3 F    ii. Susan Rhodes .

Susan married Thomas Linkhorn (Lincoln) on 22 Apr 1808.

   4 F    iii. Mary Rhodes .

Mary married Daniel Best on 16 Dec 1794.

   5 M    iv. Titus Rhodes .

   6 M    v. Jacob Rhodes .

Jacob married Sarah Weathers on 12 Aug 1782.

+ 7 M    vi. Henry Rhodes was born on 2 Sep 1753.

+ 8 M    vii. Christian Rhodes was born about 1760 and died on 4 Apr 1839 in MO about age 79.
